Are you a sharp, detail-oriented engineer with a passion for driving project success and managing risk? We are seeking a Project Control Engineer to join the core Project Control team within a leading regional/multinational consultancy firm.
This is a critical role where you will directly support our design and engineering teams, ensuring our complex projects remain on track, on budget, and on schedule.
What You Will Do (Core Responsibilities):
- Project Scheduling & Planning: Support Project Managers in the preparation, management, and monitoring of comprehensive project schedules using industry-leading tools like Primavera.
- Budget & Cost Management: Develop project budget plans, resource graphs, and work programs. You will be the crucial support system for tracking project costs and raising 'flags' immediately in case of budget overruns or deviations.
- Performance Tracking: Track and report on key performance indicators, including man-hours consumption, staff utilization, and project progress across various design initiatives.
- Risk Management: Play a vital role in the Division's risk management framework. This includes supporting the identification, assessment, and development of risk registers (technical, financial, manpower, etc.), defining response strategies, and tracking implementation.
- Reporting & Analysis: Collect, analyze, and synthesize project progress reports from various sectors to contribute to the development of overall, comprehensive Division status reports.
- Claims Support: Assist Project Managers in assessing the schedule, cost, and resource impact of design claims.
What You Will Bring (Mandatory Skills & Qualifications):
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years of industry experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Planning sector.
- Prior experience (2+ years) within a top-tier regional or multinational engineering consultancy firm is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid, practical experience with project scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera) and strong knowledge of cost management tools and methodologies.
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
- Language: Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory. Arabic is a distinct advantage.
